Job Type: Full-Time
Job Type: 40 hours per week – Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am – 1:30pm.
Salary: 41,500 to £43,000
Traveling is a requirement of the role, and this can be UK, EU and international. It is on an adhoc basis and can be arranged last minute. Flexibility is very important, and we need someone that can change their plans at the last minute should a customer need support.
Full UK driving licence is required.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our equipment and systems. You will work closely with clients to ensure optimal performance and provide exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation and Commissioning:
o Install and configure equipment at client sites.
o Ensure systems are fully operational before handover.
· Maintenance and Repairs:
o Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues.
o Diagnose and repair equipment failures promptly.
· Customer Support:
o Provide on-site and remote support to clients.
o Train clients on equipment use and maintenance.
· Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of service activities and client interactions.
o Prepare reports on equipment status and service history.
· Collaboration:
o Work with the engineering team to improve product performance and reliability.
o Provide feedback on product issues and potential enhancements.
Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Not essential.
· Experience:
o [2-5 years] of experience in a service or technical support role.
o Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
· Skills:
o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
· Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
