United States Coast Guard Logo

The Hepworth and Wynn wiper systems have proven to be the most reliable systems on the market.

The US Coast Guard have relied on Wynn wipers for over 30 years.

Fresh water on its own is still commonly used as a spray system to clean the windows in combination with a wiper system.

This does not always work sufficiently.

1. Salt dissolves quicker when the water is hot. Our system has a built in immersion heater.

2. Adding a detergent to fresh water ensures that the dirt and grease on the windows is cleaned even better.

3. Adding glycol stops the water that has been sprayed from freezing when it hits the ice cold glass.

4. If connected to an on board fresh water supply, the water tank can be automatically filled when it is nearly empty.

5. The tank is equipped with a low and high level sensor unit.

6. For full frost protection of the spray water pipes we advise to use air to purge the pipes after each spray cycle.

7. The Wynn controllers offer the wash/purge cycle option to empty the pipes and prevent damages by freezing.
