Sales Administrator – Marine Sales Department

We are looking for a skilled administrator with direct experience in sales admin or a customer service role. The
The Sales Administrator provides essential administrative support to the Sales department, acting as the first point of contact for new and existing contacts, processing orders and quoting for any spare’s enquiries.
You will be required to be a flexible member of our team, taking on any number of tasks to support the sales team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email.
  • Process sales orders and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Prepare quotations based on customer requests.
  • Follow up on quotations and convert them into orders where possible.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, logistics, finance) to ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
  • Act as the point of contact for new and existing customers.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system.
  • Assist in preparing monthly sales reports and performance metrics.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

Previous experience in a sales administration role, ideally within a marine or technical environment.

Service and Warranty Manager

Role Overview

The Service and Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service operations and warranty management. This includes leading technical support efforts, managing product returns and repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective resolution of issues. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the service and warranty team to ensure efficient handling of returned products and warranty claims.
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical repair, refurbishment, and fault diagnosis of returned items.
  • Manage booking and tracking of products using SAP and RMA processes.
  • Liaise with Quality and Engineering teams to investigate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities and warranty claims.
  • Provide technical support to customers via email, phone, and on-site visits when necessary.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
  • Develop and maintain warranty policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on service trends and warranty performance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Over 5 years’ experience in technical service or warranty management, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Soldering skills and experience with fault-finding tools are advantageous.

Yardman / Despatch

B Hepworth and Co Ltd is seeking a self-motivated, highly energetic Yardman/ Despatch Operative. The candidate is to support the maintenance and despatch functions in the business. B-Hepworth and Co. ltd are looking for a self-driven and focused individual, who will take ownership of the yard areas and support a busy despatch department. The ideal person must have a flexible, can-do approach to work and provide support wherever required in the business.

Main Duties

  • Keep yard clean and safe.
  • Organise all yard areas to a high standard.
  • Disposal of broken pallets/ wood.
  • Support of maintenance with various tasks (building maintenance, organising disposal of recycling).
  • Keep fire exits clear and safe.
  • Carpark/ leaf litter and general maintenance.
  • Packaging finished product.
  • Moving finished product around site/ loading vehicles.
  • Material/ Stock Movement around site.
