Service & Warranty Technician
Definition:
To work within Service and Warranty operations to assist in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of windscreen wiper systems and associated product.
Key Responsibilities:
Skills And Attributes:
- Booking in and out of related product, using SAP system and RMA process.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical repair, refurbishment and overhaul of returned product.
- Inspect returned product, identify faults and troubleshoot issues.
- Write reports detailing findings for returned product.
- Dealing with customer returns and providing customer support.
- Liaise with Quality Team on findings from product issues.
- From time to time provide on-site support.
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Soldering skills a bonus.
- Computer literature – Experience with SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and planning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with customers.

Despatch Coordinator
Reports To: Finance Director
Job Purpose
The role will require an individual to have previous experience in UK import and Export procedures and customs. The role is primarily to despatch product to customers who are based across the world. This role will in effect be a job share with our existing despatch coordinator and will spend time improving controls and systems and recording the revised working practices. This individual is self-motivated and is capable of working alone, against tight delivery schedules working for a growing busy manufacturing company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arranging delivery via courier.
- Arranging delivery via air & sea freight.
- Responsible for carrier bookings and communication.
- Preparation of necessary export documentation ensuring compliance with local and overseas regulations including interface with the Chamber of Commerce and associated bodies.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Logistics, Import and Export shipping operation to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of customer orders.
- Producing Commercial Invoice, packing list & certificates of origin, and file these electronically onto our computer system.
- Dealing with customers via email and telephone.
- Liaising with credit control to check customer’s account status, and Sales to ensure shipping is to customer requirements and dates.
Skills and Experience
- Must be able to work independently, take initiative, be comfortable in a hands-on role, and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload while dealing with multiple tasks efficiently and with limited supervision. Must understand the critical importance of accuracy when completing documentation.
- Understands legal and regulatory requirements for importing / exporting of goods for the UK.
- Clear communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience of using SAP. (Desirable).
- Be a team player in a small environment.
- Full understanding of INCO terms.
Essential
- Recent and relevant office-based experience in Export, Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding and/ or Haulage.
- Able to pick skills up quickly in a busy environment.
Electrical Assembly

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drilling and tapping.
- Cutting, soldering, de-soldering and heat shrinking wires.
- Soldering electrical components.
- Wiring.
- Using the crimping tools.
- Safe handling and use of potting compounds, sealants, and solvent cleaners.
- Electrical testing to ensure conformance to specifications
- Recognizing electronic parts.
- Using multimeters.
- Safe handling and use of air and hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, drills or similar hand tools.
- Assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on panels.
- Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies in boxes and cabinets.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, electrical diagrams, specifications, route cards.
- Correcting defects.
- Building products such as electric motors, and electronic control devices.
- Fabricating or modifying parts, using shop equipment.
- Populating or modifying/replacing components on printed circuit board assemblies.
- Packing finished products for shipment.
- Undertaking other duties as determined by the company to meet the company’s needs.
- Working in compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Maintaining housekeeping standards in work area.

Yardman / Despatch
Reports To: Claire Maxwell
B Hepworth and Co Ltd is seeking a self-motivated, highly energetic Yardman/ Despatch Operative. The candidate is to support the maintenance and despatch functions in the business. B-Hepworth and Co. ltd are looking for a self-driven and focused individual, who will take ownership of the yard areas and support a busy despatch department. The ideal person must have a flexible, can-do approach to work and provide support wherever required in the business.
Main Duties
- Keep yard clean and safe.
- Organise all yard areas to a high standard.
- Disposal of broken pallets/ wood.
- Support of maintenance with various tasks (building maintenance, organising disposal of recycling).
- Keep fire exits clear and safe.
- Carpark/ leaf litter and general maintenance.
- Packaging finished product.
- Moving finished product around site/ loading vehicles.
- Material/ Stock Movement around site.
