Tig Welder (Stainless Steel & Aluminium)

Hour:

Shift one: Mon-Thurs 6am – 3pm and Fri 6am – 12pm
Shift two: Mon-Thurs 7:30am – 4:30pm and Fri 7:30am – 1:30pm
Half an hour unpaid lunch break, and two 10-minute breaks morning and afternoon on both shifts.

Salary:

Looking an enthusiastic person to join a well-established privately owned UK manufacturing business manufacturing windscreen wiper systems for Rail and marine applications. We want people that want a career, people we can in-vest in, and hope will have a long career with us.
The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and be able to focus on the job in hand. The individual must be capable of following complex instructions and have a flexible approach to work. They must work well both independently and as part of a team and be reliable and conscientious in their attitude.

Job Functions

· Welding parts to engineering drawings.
· Following of company work to lists and reading engineering drawings.
· Maintain a clean workspace and surrounding area promoting a safe and efficient environment.
· Following company quality processes.

Skills/Expertise:

·Tig welder (stainless steel and aluminium) worked experience in a similar environment.
·Previous experience of welding to 9606-1 & 9606-2 advantageous.
·Ability to Mig weld to a good standard advantageous.
·Able to read engineering drawings to a good standard (training can be provided).

NB: As part of our interview process, we will expect an onsite weld test to be completed under the supervision of the Weld Manager.

Service & Warranty Technician

Definition:

To work within Service and Warranty operations to assist in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of windscreen wiper systems and associated product.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills And Attributes:

    • Booking in and out of related product, using SAP system and RMA process.
    • Carry out mechanical and electrical repair, refurbishment and overhaul of returned product.
    • Inspect returned product, identify faults and troubleshoot issues.
    • Write reports detailing findings for returned product.
    • Dealing with customer returns and providing customer support.
    • Liaise with Quality Team on findings from product issues.
    • From time to time provide on-site support.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Soldering skills a bonus.
  • Computer literature – Experience with SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and planning skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to present data effectively paying attention to detail.
  • Flexible proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, diverse, environment.

Electrical Assembly

Reports To: Arek Szewczyk​ 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drilling and tapping.
  • Cutting, soldering, de-soldering and heat shrinking wires.
  • Soldering electrical components.
  • Wiring.
  • Using the crimping tools.
  • Safe handling and use of potting compounds, sealants, and solvent cleaners.
  • Electrical testing to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Recognizing electronic parts.
  • Using multimeters.
  • Safe handling and use of air and hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, drills or similar hand tools.
  • Assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on panels.
  • Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies in boxes and cabinets.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, electrical diagrams, specifications, route cards.
  • Correcting defects.
  • Building products such as electric motors, and electronic control devices.
  • Fabricating or modifying parts, using shop equipment.
  • Populating or modifying/replacing components on printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Packing finished products for shipment.
  • Undertaking other duties as determined by the company to meet the company’s needs.
  • Working in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Working in compliance with company policies.
  • Working to company procedures, instructions and drawings.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards in work area.

Experience:

  • Good knowledge of the basics of electrics or electronics.
  • Good soldering skills essential.
  • Experience in using crimping tools.
